Reading Flash Mobs!

As part of the provincial Drop Everything And Read, some of our intermediate classes will doing “reading flash mobs” to draw attention to the importance of reading every day.  Look for students reading their books for 20 minutes at the Community Centre and downtown on Mackenzie Ave.  around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26th.

Drop Everything And Read takes place on Monday, October 26th at 2:00p.m.  Please let your classroom teacher know if you would like to join the count as we get as many people as possible to demonstrate how important it is it read every day!

Caribou Math begins Oct. 14th!

Please see Mrs. Wilson by October 9th if you would like to participate.  The cost is $15 for students in grades 5 and up.  Grade 4 students are free.

The first contest is on Wednesday, October 14th between 8:30 and 10:10 in the computer lab.  Go to https://cariboutests.com for more information and practice tests.  The interactive question will be the new floodfill game.

It takes a primary student 5 points, and an intermediate student 10 points, to be up on the bulletin board in the hall.  The AR board is updated every Monday morning by Mrs. Astra.

Library classes begin this week!

Mrs. Astra and Mrs. Wilson are excited  to see every student come through the library door this week!  Reminder that students can have up to 2 books signed out  at one time.  Books can be renewed or placed on hold.  We also take suggestions for books to add to the library!
