The first BVE Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 11th, at 6:30 pm in the BVE Library. This initial PAC meeting will feature elections for the PAC executive positions.
PAC meetings are held monthly, typically on the first Monday of each month, unless there is a holiday or ProD day, in which case they are rescheduled to the next available Monday. The meetings are one hour long, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Free childcare is provided by Grade 6 and 7 students.
The PAC at BVE is known for its strong support of various BVE initiatives and organizes special events for BVE students. Last year, the PAC purchased outdoor equipment and contributed $200 to each classroom for special items or activities. They also successfully organized and ran the BVE Harvest Festival, among other activities. The PAC also manages a yearbook committee that creates beautiful yearbooks for each student, all for free, with the assistance of local business donations.
